As Jupiter stations retrograde in Cancer this week, its nurturing energy magnifies compassion and reflection. This rare Jupiter–Saturn trine supports translating empathy into action and aligning ideals with real-world purpose. Learn how this week’s planetary movements—including Mercury’s retrograde conjunction with Mars—offer a chance to deepen awareness, release fear-based beliefs, and reconnect with spiritual clarity.

Overview: November 10 - 16, 2025
JUPITER STATIONS: Giant planet Jupiter looms even larger than usual in our awareness as it comes to a standstill this week. When a planet stations (either retrograde or direct), its influence is magnified. Jupiter is currently in nurturing, empathetic Cancer, so as it stations this Tuesday, we are extremely conscious of those who are in need of comfort, caring, and emotional support.
The very good news is that Jupiter is within eight arc minutes (00°08') of being exactly trine Saturn in compassionate Pisces this week; this harmonious aspect assists us in bringing our ideals into reality and in successfully taking advantage of opportunities that arise. It also can help us channel the desire to preserve and protect in practical ways.
As it comes to a standstill on November 11, Jupiter will align with the powerful fixed star Alpha Canis Minoris, thus amplifying that star's energies. Astrologer Roderick Kidston, in his book The Magic of the Stars, writes:
"The enormous energy of Alpha Canis Minoris can express itself skillfully as courage, daring, and executive capacity, or unskillfully as overestimation, carelessness, rashness, and aggression. Those who can harness the drives of this star with discipline and strategy can go very far with it. Those who allow their emotions to run riot—especially in anger—can lose out big time. Like so many of the power stars, it's all a matter of how you handle the energy. This is a star which is likely to take you places. Whether those places are high or low will depend on how you respond to, and use, its laser-like force."
It is striking to note that when Saturn stations direct on November 27, it will be synchronistically at the exact degree of Jupiter's retrograde station (25°09'), although in Pisces instead of Cancer. This leads us to regard these two dates—November 11 and 27—as being connected in a positive way.
MERCURY AND MARS: Mercury will conjoin Mars in Sagittarius this week, an alignment that usually represents a green light for assertively expressing one's ideas, making courageous decisions, or taking action on plans. However, the Messenger Planet is now retrograde, so this influence is best used to review our plans and come up with new insights rather than taking concrete action.
Mercury is the planet of communication, while Mars is highly energized and sometimes forceful. As these two planets align in Sagittarius, people may be especially forthright and courageous in speaking their truth. Intense debates are possible, especially regarding beliefs and morals.
In the negative, some could be irritable, argumentative, or hurtful in their words. With the nervous system being highly stimulated, some may feel an urgent need to make a decision; however, decisions made hastily while Mercury is retrograde often need to be rescinded later.
Mercury and Mars usually conjoin once a year; however, because of Mercury going retrograde, this week's conjunction is the second of three alignments between the two planets within four months. This rare recurrence of their alignment in such a short period draws a connecting line between these three dates: October 19, November 12, and January 17.
DAILY ASPECTS THIS WEEK (November 10 - 16, 2025):
Here are my brief interpretations of this week's most important aspects, day by day:
Monday
No major aspects are exact today.
Tuesday
Jupiter stations retrograde: Jupiter will be moving backward through Cancer from November 11, 2025 to March 11, 2026. During this four-month period, Jupiter supports us in going within to gain deeper insights into spiritual meanings or philosophical concepts. It may be easier to access the superconscious now, to discover what we truly believe and also to observe where our attitudes may be coming from a place of fear rather than from our hearts. Jupiter retrograde can help us let go of those beliefs and judgments that undermine rather than support us.
Wednesday
Retrograde Mercury conjunct Mars: This alignment in Sagittarius may be best used in a forthright conversation with ourselves, especially regarding the beliefs and biases that inform our thoughts and our actions.
Thursday
No major aspects are exact today.
Friday
Venus sesquiquadrate Saturn: This aspect represents a reality check in the areas of relationships, alliances, finances, and values. A sense of connection could be elusive and some could be emotionally distant.
Saturday
Sun quincunx Chiron: Insecurities may arise due to a lack of confidence in our ability to handle the deep emotions that are arising at this time.
Sunday
Mars sesquiquadrate Chiron: People may be defensive and argumentative under this influence.
Sun quincunx Eris: The revelation of uncomfortable truths can cause inner and outer conflict. It could be hard not to lash out in anger or from a desire for retribution.
Sun trine Jupiter: Despite the tension of these times, our hearts are open and we are inspired by deep feelings of compassion. A profound knowing of truth lifts our spirits and we are able to transmute and release fears.

If Your Birthday Is This Week (November 10 - 16):
Deep insights are possible this year, if you are willing to dive into your true feelings and motivations. As you discover the beliefs and attitudes that influence your life and your choices, you have the discipline to do the necessary work to release old patterns and align more fully with your higher self. Along the way, you may find it helpful to work with your inner child, the aspect of self who is fearful and in need of your compassion and understanding. (Solar Return Sun trine Jupiter, trine Saturn, quincunx Chiron, quincunx Eris)
